Sometimes we have clients that make our jobs super easy. The Roelans Family session was like spending the afternoon at the beach with friends. Their beautiful daughter Madison was all smiles and giggles and did not mind the camera at all. The love this family shared was so sweet and easy to capture and Alyssa chose beautiful outfits for her family that perfectly coordinated with the soft afternoon light at South Pointe Beach Park in Miami Beach.
The lace in Madison and Alyssa’s outfits added the perfect amount of detail.
We also had to capture a few detail shots of Madison. The years seem to fly by in a flash and I love to reminisce over my daughter’s baby pictures- it is so hard to remember all of the little details even when you are convinced that you will never forget. Madison’s tiny fingers and toes can be remembered in classic black-and white images for years to come. The way she grabbed her feet and toes was too adorable!
Some of my favorite images from family sessions are always the moments between the mother and her children. These tender moments don’t need coaching or posing and they often capture the mothers in a way that they never get to witness for themselves. We see the love and adoration between a mother and child but so often moms are the ones taking the photos that they loose out on the opportunity to be captured in an image with their children. I always take a few extra moments during a family session to ensure that we get a few special, fine art images with just mom.
As a child who only has 3 surviving pictures with her mother, I can say from experience that my hope for Madison is that she sees these images and remembers all of the wonderful memories and love with her family.
